EAC News & Updates
| OVGS is a non-profit organization that encourages and promotes the practice and knowledge of needlework in all its forms. Members have the fellowship of persons who enjoy needlework and wish to learn and share their knowledge and thereby work towards maintaining higher standards of design, colour and workmanship. The OVGS provides monthly meetings, chapter newsletters, special day and/or evening workshops, a lending library within the Guild, and membership in the national organization, the Embroiderers’ Association of Canada, founded in 1973. |

MEMBERSHIP Membership is open to all persons (student, amateur or professional) interested in furthering the practice and knowledge of the art of embroidery. All members automatically become members of the Embroiderers' Association of Canada Inc. (EAC). EDUCATION The Ottawa Valley Guild of Stitchery offers a program of educational classes during its calendar year (September - June). In addition to the automatic enrollment in the EAC, each member is entitled to enroll in EAC courses. EAC Courses - Whether by yourself or in a group, the EAC offers several different courses including some cyber classes. Experience NeedleArts - A showcase of various works by the many talented guild members. Originals, commercial, educational and adaptations displayed for the public's viewing pleasures. The OVGS has an extensive library on many subjects available to members. Check back sometime in September to see a listing of our books. Guests are always welcome to our meetings.
