| OVGS is a non-profit organization that encourages and promotes the practice and knowledge of needlework in all its forms. Members have the fellowship of persons who enjoy needlework and wish to learn and share their knowledge and thereby work towards maintaining higher standards of design, colour and workmanship. The OVGS provides monthly meetings, chapter newsletters, special day and/or evening workshops, a lending library within the Guild, and membership in the national organization, the Embroiderers’ Association of Canada, founded in 1973. |

December 9th 2009 MeetingCANCELLED - Due to the weather conditions the Executive has cancelled the December 9th meeting. Meetings will resume in January. On behalf of the OVGS executive, may I wish you a very happy holiday season. |

Programme 2009-2010The 2009-2010 program will give members the choice of three different streams of instruction covering a wide range of embroidery techniques. As was the case last year, you will have the option of committing to a year-long program, or of sampling from two or more. You may also choose to work on your own stitching or to assist with the Military Family Kissing Pillow project. Sign-up sheets will be available at each meeting for you to make your selection or to confirm your participation in a continuing program. Read the write ups here.
